ZEBRA INTELLIGENCETAURUS BURNS ↗
An interactive exhibition in six encounters

THE VIEW
FROM UNDERNEATH.

A portrait can hold two versions of one person. A country can look at both and still refuse to see the whole.

Six paintings. Six small acts of misrecognition. No right answers. No permission to remain comfortably outside the picture.

Will the real Taurus B please stand up?

Which one is the real me?

There are two images of the same man in this photograph. One receives the light. The other is pushed behind him. Neither is the entire person.

This is not a test of whether you know the right words. It is an invitation to notice what happens when a person is made to live inside somebody else’s description.

These encounters are artistic propositions, not reenactments of a particular event in the artist’s life.
